Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 0.52% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 943,973 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,533 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,274 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 946,873 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 0.69% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.8% of total electricity consumption, while hydroelectricity and wind plants contributed 17.8% and 16.8%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,910 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 8,014 megawatt-hours.
