Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.4% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,100,207 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,008 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,559 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,114,531 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of 0.4% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 35.2% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.4% and 11.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 17,184 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,860 megawatt-hours.
