Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.4% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,100,839 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,341 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,079 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,102,387 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 3% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.6% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 18.7% and 16.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,473 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,926 megawatt-hours.
