Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 968,335 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,952 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,747 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 962,691 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.4% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 27.9% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 23.2% and 13.3%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,117 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 11,766 megawatt-hours.
