Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,036,415 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,946 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,575 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,051,713 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 0.3% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 22.6% of total generation, while wind and natural gas contributed 20.5% and 20.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,504 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 206 megawatt-hours.
