Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.14% on Dec. 15

Electricity exports amount to 6,064 megawatt-hours and imports total 17,083 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.14% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 910,737 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,047 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,143 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 899,739 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of around 0.13% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 21.4% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and wind plants contributed 20.9% and 16.4%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,064 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,083 megawatt-hours.
