Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 969,591 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,706 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,832 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 964,930 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 0.2% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 22.7% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 19.9% and 14%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,832 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 11,488 megawatt-hours.
