Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.1% on March 5

- Electricity exports amount to 9,126 megawatt-hours and imports total 4,864 megawatt-hours

​​​​​Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,015,015 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,184 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,952 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,019,216 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.04% compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 26.7% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 18.9% and 13.2%, respectively.

On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,126 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,864 megawatt-hours.
