Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.03% on Nov. 14

- Electricity exports amount to 7,368 megawatt-hours and imports total 2,251 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.03% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 948,548 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,086 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,758 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 953,794 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of 0.01% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 27.95% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 24.95% and 12.29%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,368 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,251 megawatt-hours.
