Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.02% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 990,531 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,688 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,101 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 998,692 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.03% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 32.9% of total generation, while imported coal plants and dam-based hydropower plants contributed 22.8% and 12.8%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,152 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 168 megawatt-hours.
