Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye remained virtually unchanged on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,135,932 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,953 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,207 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,152,819 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.1% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 26.8% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 20.3% and 12.1%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 20,406 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,523 megawatt-hours.
