Turkiye's daily electricity consumption decreased by 9.9% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 805,188 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,109 megawatt-hours at 19.00 local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,124 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 805,639 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 9.9% increase compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 28.5% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 24.7% while lignite plants comprised 15.4%.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 15,273 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,947 megawatt-hours.
