Türkiye's daily power consumption down 5% on June 28

- Electricity exports amount to 13,621 megawatt-hours and imports total 14,528 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 5% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,034,866 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,510 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,695 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,033,984 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a rise of about 1.08% compared to Friday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22% of total generation, while wind energy plants and natural gas plants contributed 18.1% and 17.7%, respectively.

On Saturday’s, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,621 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 14,528 megawatt-hours.
