Turkiye's daily power consumption down 4.3% on March 12

- Electricity exports amount to 13,945 megawatt-hours and imports total 13,081 megawatt-hours

​​​​​​​Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 4.27% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 892,739 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,370 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,915 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 893,602 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of 4.44% compared to Friday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.4% of total electricity consumption, while hydroelectricity and lignite plants contributed 19.2% and 13.2%, respectively.

On Saturday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,945 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,081 megawatt-hours.
