Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 2.7% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,008,901 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,116 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,852 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 986,638 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 2.6% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 19.9% of total generation, while hydroelectric plants and imported coal contributed 19.7% and 16.9%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,418 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,874 megawatt-hours.
