Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 2.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 928,911 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,629 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,948 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 933,520 megawatt-hours on Friday marking a fall of about 2.4% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 33,5% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 15% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,642 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,515 megawatt-hours.
