Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 2.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,161,894 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,217 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,248 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,171,612 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 2.1% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.3% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.1% and 13.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,805 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 3,929 megawatt-hours.
