Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.92% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1.05 million megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,977 megawatt-hours at 03.00 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,264 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1.04 million megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.96% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.7% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.6% and 11.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,650 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,993 megawatt-hours.
