Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 16.8% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 669,412 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 31,636 megawatt-hours at 10.00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 23,961 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 660,837 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a decrease of 17% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from hydro power plants constituted 22.5% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 16.6% and 15.6%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 9,789 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 18,365 megawatt-hours.
