Türkiye's daily power consumption down 1.3% on July 31

Electricity exports totaled 14,825 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 9,870 megawatt-hours.

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 1.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,214,599 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 57,138 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 40,078 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,219,555 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a drop of about %1.2 compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 28.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 19.8% and 12.7%, respectively.
