Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 12.4% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 906,930 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,302 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,250 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 909,491 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of about 12% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for 24.6% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar plants contributed 19.9% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Sunday's, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,301 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 11,740 megawatt-hours.
