Türkiye's daily power consumption down 1.2% on Oct. 28

- Electricity exports amount to 6,759 megawatt-hours and imports total 5,276 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 1.2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 855,809 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,323 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,807 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 857,355 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, decreasing around 1.4% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 27.3% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 18.6% and 13.3%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,759 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,276 megawatt-hours.
