Turkiye's daily power consumption down 1.2% on March 11

- Electricity exports amount to 12,680 megawatt-hours and imports total 10,191 megawatt-hours

​​​​​​​Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 1.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,638 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,685 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,856 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 935,127 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 1.24% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.3% of total electricity consumption, while hydroelectricity and wind plants contributed 18.1% and 17.1%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,680 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,191 megawatt-hours.
