Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 10.9% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 987,482 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,094 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,571 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 994,911 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 11% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 23.52% of total generation, while natural gas and solar plants contributed 23.49% and 12.3%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,502 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,129 megawatt-hours.
