Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.94% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 952,433 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,841 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,916 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 952,378 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.99% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 24.7% of total electricity consumption, while natural gas and lignite plants contributed 16.3% and 15.5%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,365 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,421 megawatt-hours.
