Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.9% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 900,971 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,100 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,503 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 900,495 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of 0.8% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.3% of total generation, while hydro and thermal power plants contributed 17.4% and 14.4%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,462 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 8,938 megawatt-hours.
