Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.8% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 889,839 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,875 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,440 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 889,476 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 0.8% decrease compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 20.9% of total electricity consumption, natural gas plants contributed 19.7% while wind plants comprised 16.6%.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,674 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,126 megawatt-hours.
