Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.6% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 941,595 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,998 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,010 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 948,603 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.7% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal accounted for around 24% of total generation, while wind and natural gas contributed 17.6% and 16.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,529 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,562 megawatt-hours.
