Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.57% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,264 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,279 megawatt-hours at 11.00 local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,411 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 931,529 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.60% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas constituted 26.2% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.7% while hydroelectricity plants comprised 14.9%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 15,439 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,172 megawatt-hours.
