Türkiye's daily power consumption down 0.5% on August 14

- Electricity exports totaled 23,015 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,583 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,175,864 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 55,204 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,275 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,193,297 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a drop of about %0.4 compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 27% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20.3% and 12.6%, respectively.
