Türkiye's daily power consumption down 0.4% on Nov. 9

- Electricity exports amount to 5,166 megawatt-hours and imports total 26,673 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.4% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 846,486 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 40,494 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 28,455 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 824,978 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of 0.75% compared to Tuesday.

Imported coal plants contributed 28.7% of total generation, while natural gas plants and lignite plants contributed 24.3% and 12.3%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,166 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 26,673 megawatt-hours.
