Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.4% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 961,443 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,004 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,476 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 968,094 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 0.4% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 25.5% of total generation, while imported coal plants and lignite plants contributed 24.% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,717 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 881 megawatt-hours.
