Türkiye's daily power consumption down 0.35% on Nov. 15

- Electricity exports amount to 5,702 megawatt-hours and imports total 16,981 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by 0.35% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 863,953 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,636 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,171 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 852,674 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of 0.21% compared to Tuesday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 27.7% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite plants contributed 16.3% and 13.9%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,702 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,981 megawatt-hours.
