Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,019,848 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,385 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,957 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,027,823 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of 0.2% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 22.6% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and imported coal plants contributed 20.8% and 20.3%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,311 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,790 megawatt-hours.
