Turkiye's daily power consumption down 0.25% on Jan. 29

- Electricity exports amount to 13,584 megawatt-hours and imports total 17,746 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.25% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 920,815 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,127 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,608 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 916,689 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.48% decrease compared to Friday.

Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 24.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21% while natural gas plants comprised 20.6%.

On Saturday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,584 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,746 megawatt-hours.
