Türkiye's daily power consumption down 0.2% on June 9

- Electricity exports amount to 4,031 megawatt-hours and imports total 13,943 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 870,555 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,970 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,081 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 860,644 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.3% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from imported coal constituted 22.4% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and lignite plants contributed 19% and 13.7%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,031 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,943 megawatt-hours.
