Turkish electric charging station firm Eşarj to expand network

- Company will invest nearly 300 million Turkish liras to add 495 new fast-charging stations

Türkiye’s electric charging station network, Eşarj, will enlarge its existing fast-charging stations to 495 in the country, the company announced in a statement Wednesday.

With 94% of its shares owned by Türkiye’s electricity company Enerjisa Enerji, Eşarj will invest nearly 300 million Turkish liras to extend its network as part of the Fast-Charging Stations for EVs Program.

Eşarj has run Türkiye’s first charging operator service since 2009 and operates 495 charging stations across the country, from which 258 are fast charging.

With this planned investment in charging stations, the company aims to generate additional electricity sales of 418 million kilowatt-hours.

It also expects to prevent the emissions of 598 million kilograms of CO2 by the end of 2030, equivalent to the amount of CO2 that 37 million trees are able to clean.
