Turkey's daily power consumption up 7.6% on March 27

- Electricity exports amount to 12,516 megawatt-hours, while imports total 2,584 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 7.6% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 947,314 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 41,648 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,024 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 885,352 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 6.54% increase from Friday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.1% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 20.2%, while imported coal power plants held a 15% share.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,516 megawatt-hours, while imports total 2,584 megawatt-hours.
