Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 4.17% to 864,243 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 18.00 with 42,088 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 28,439 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 866,372 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 4.26% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas reaching 219,846 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and lignite plants followed with 206,658 megawatt-hours and 144,997 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,589 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 4,460 megawatt-hours.
