Turkey's daily power consumption up 3.9% on July 4

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 3,340 megawatt-hours, while imports total 9,744 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.98% to 866,655 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time with 39,683 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,210 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.

Total electricity production reached 860,251 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 5.12% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 219,206 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydroelectricity power plants followed with 193,941 megawatt-hours and 176,582 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 3,340 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,744 megawatt-hours.
