Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.78% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 922,924 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 45,387 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,483 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 933,462 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.84% increase from Monday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.5% of total electricity consumption, wind plants comprised 15.1%, while hydroelectricity power plants held a 13.3% share.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 13,255 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,003 megawatt-hours.
