Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.64% to 891,914 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 41,844 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,117 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
Total electricity production reached 895,178 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 4.06% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 203,347 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and imported coal followed with 198,362 megawatt-hours and 193,371 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,417 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,153 megawatt-hours.
