Turkey's daily power consumption up 3.4% on Nov. 10

- Electricity exports amount to 14,479 megawatt-hours while imports total 43 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 817,982 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 39,845 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,508 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 832,419 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.37% increase compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 33.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.2% share while lignite plants comprised 14.9%.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,479 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 43 megawatt-hours.
