Turkey's daily power consumption up 3.3% on Nov. 17

- Electricity exports amount to 9,791 megawatt-hours, while imports total 397 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 844,940 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 41,267 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,326 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 854,334 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.24% increase compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 37.67% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.10% share while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 15.50%.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,791 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 397 megawatt-hours.
