Turkey's daily power consumption up 2.5% on June 23

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 1,048 megawatt-hours, while imports total 12,752 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.5% to 787,374 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time with 35,927 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,133 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 775,670 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.6% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 201,207 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and natural gas plants followed with 153,724 megawatt-hours and 150,052 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 1,048 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,752 megawatt-hours.
