Turkey's daily power consumption up 2.3% on Nov. 2

- Electricity exports amount to 12,510 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,161 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 886,684 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,545 megawatt-hours at 11.00 local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,921 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 890,135 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.2% increase compared to Monday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 34.2% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 18.2% while lignite comprised 15.2%.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,510 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,161 megawatt-hours.
