Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.3% to 814,952 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 39,839 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,513 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 833,841 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, with a 2.32% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from natural gas plants totaling 225,984 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal and lignite plants followed with 206,283 megawatt-hours and 150,256 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,163 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 5,669 megawatt-hours.
