Daily electricity consumption increased by 2.26% to 900,034 megawatt-hours on Tuesday in Turkey, according to official figures on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17:00 local time with 41,993 megawatt-hours, Turkish Electrical Transmission Company (TEIAS) data showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 30,745 megawatt-hours at 07:00.
Total electricity production reached 900,604 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, with a 2.20% rise compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from natural gas plants totaling 214,042 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and dam hydropower plants followed with 207,537 megawatt-hours and 182,420 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Tuesday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 2,911 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 2,341 megawatt-hours.
