Turkey's daily power consumption up 2.25% on August 10

- Electricity exports amount to 15,204 megawatt-hours, while imports total 4,814 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.25% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,058,850 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,782 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,444 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,069,456 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.25% increase from Monday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 38.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 17.5% while lignite plants comprised 11.7%.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 15,204 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,814 megawatt-hours.
