Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.04% to 831,651 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 39,710 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,430 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 830,569 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, with a 0.39% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from natural gas plants totaling 238,676 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal and lignite plants followed with 179,496 megawatt-hours and 150,336 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,546 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 7,627 megawatt-hours.
